You can edit an answer in your Knowledge Base at any time. To do this, follow the steps outlined below.
- Navigate to the Knowledge Base page in Mascot
- Search for the Understanding you'd like to edit
- Click on the Question whose answer needs updating
- Type the new answer as a Default Response and click Save. (You can all utilize Personalized Responses – See Personalized Responses for more about customization.)

5. Double check that the status is "Approved" so that the bot will begin to send out the updated answer
When editing an answer, take note of 5 tools available to you:
- Inserting Organization Attributes
- Inserting Contact Fields
- Inserting emojis: each emoji takes up 2 characters
- Inserting shortened links (mainst.ai)
- Character count: 1 text message = 160 characters, so try to keep your answers as concise as possible
