The Mainstay Script Library contains research-backed scripts designed to drive student impact. These scripts are targeted at supporting students through key touch-points of the admissions process and driving engagement and support for matriculated students. Having access to these scripts should save you time as you develop your communications and also give insight into the types of messages that our analysis shows drive higher engagement. Use these script templates in your own campaigns by copying them into My Scripts.
Locating the Script Library
To access the Script Library:
- Click the Scripts icon on the global navigation bar located on the left-hand side of your screen
- Select Mainstay Script Library right under My Scripts
Script Categorization
The Scripts in the Mainstay Script Library have been organized by a set of topics and Tags to make it easier for you to explore the content and find the right script for you.
- The topic provides a general taxonomy of the theme the content is related to.
- Tags serve as sub-topics, a script can have multiple Tags.
Searching the Mainstay Script Library Content
You can use the search library by typing into the search bar. For example, if you want to search the library for FAFSA scripts you can simply type FAFSA into the search bar.
Filtering the Mainstay Script Library Content by Topic
You can filter the content by Topic by clicking on the Topic dropdown and selecting the topic you want to filter by. For example, if you want to filter by the Topic Finances you can do the following.
Filtering the Mainstay Script Library Content by Tags
You can filter by Tags by selecting the Tags dropdown and selecting the Tags that you want to filter by. For example, if you want to filter by the Tag FAFSA you can do the following.
Note that the filter performs an AND which means it will look for scripts that have all the Tags you have selected.
Previewing Scripts in the Library
You can click on any of the scripts in the Library to see a preview of the script.
Copying to My Scripts
There are two ways to copy entries in the Library to My Scripts.
- You can click the Copy to My Library after hovering over the desired script.
- You can also click Copy to My Library in the Preview view.
Each option will result in a pop-up appearing asking you to rename the script and add any Script Labels you have created to organize your existing scripts in the My Scripts section. To confirm that you want to copy to My Scripts; just click the Copy to My Scripts button in the pop-up.

The script(s) you copy will appear in My Scripts. Your scripts are ordered by the most recently created or copied to the oldest created or copied.
Once you have successfully copied a script into My Scripts you can edit the generic information such as [Organization Name] and [Bot] to your specific information. Then you will be able to schedule a campaign with your new script!
